Catnip tea is a good anxiety reliever, but overall I would say to change your diet to a hunter-gather type diet. The diet got rid of my bipolarness.

Find your place, a mental place where you go, the kind of place that is quite and peaceful. My place is a little spot in the woods with a small stream and soft green ferns. there are wild flowers there in the spring and summer and in the fall more color that the eye can take in. In the winter the gloomiest time of the year, I go there after a snowfall. In that white frozen world it is even more quiet and even more beautiful. This can also be the place you escape to in your mind but you have to experience it in order to be able to draw on it later. I can not take you to my place because it is made up of many places that I have been. The water splashing down over the rocks is from a place that I sat on a rock and felt the coolness of the air and got lost in the sound of the water. The soft green ferns is from a place where I went camping and found this large patch of lush ferns with a moss covered stump in the middle of them. I would sit at one end of the opening and watch the dappled shade dance across the ferns with each new breeze. The beauty and silence of a new fallen snow is a memory from a walk in the woods and finding a circle of small pines with an opening in the middle. Inside that circle of pines with its cloak of sparkling white was the quietest moment in my life. There are many other things that you can gather and take to your place. I take the smells that I love to my special place. I love the smell of the forest in the when the leaves have fallen, the smell of hedge rose in bloom, the sweet smell of an apple orchard in full bloom. Write in a journal about the places that have made you feel at peace. Do it in detail, sights, sounds, smells and feelings like the warmth of the sun or coolness of the breeze. From this construct your place, the place you want to escape to, the place that gives you peace.

Anxiety is caused by poor breathing. Think of a hyperventilation attack. When you overbreathe even just a little all day, it effects your anxiety levels due to a loss of carbon dioxide. One thing people do wrong is try to take bigger breaths. This is a mistake and increases anxiety. Instead, do tiny breath holds of 3 seconds each, resting 15 second between each. This raises C02 levels which actually relax the nervous system. I recommend learning the Buteyko Breathing Method.
