What is wrong with my sons guinea pig?

My sons guinea pig is 5 years old. He has been well cared for with all his needs met. The last two days he won't eat or drink his water. He also seems lethargic. He isn't making any sounds and seems to be walking alittle sideways when he trys to walk.

>Until you can get him to a veterinary tomorrow, you may need to give him small amounts of pedialyte, frequently, to keep him hydrated. Check his backside for a swelling on his anus. He could have impacted anal glands or constipation. My friend suggests that you can gently express the impacted matter and he may return back to normal., (she has experience with this). You may also want to try to give him well washed carrots or broccoli. If he does not improve, a veterinarian may give him fluids and an injection of antibiotics, depending on the problem you are encountering. I hope he gets better soon. -PetCaretaker---You may also want to check the guinea pig's teeth for malocclusion which can be an issue.
