start with as far as you can go and hold it. Then gently go down a bit further. Do this everyday as much as possible and you will be able to do it with practice.Answer 2
im a dancer. ive been dancing for 3 years now. splits are hard. you dont just learn it in 1, 2, 3. it takes A LOT of time. you have stretch at least 20 mins a day! and you just get more flexible, thats how you can do a split.Answer 3
k first of all i'm a dancer so i know how hard it is to actually achieve an amazing thing like that. All you really need to do is just stretch a lot. a really good one that i like to do is called the wall or something you go against the wall and then someone grabs one of your legs and lifts it up higher and higher until it hurts while keeping the other leg straight. or do heel stretches. O and keep on doing splits. I'd also suggest stretching with someone else to make it less boring or do it in front of the tv or something. hope this helps and good luck and be patientAnswer 5

btw: i wanna try out for cheerleading too!Answer 6
Are you sure they require you to do a full split?? Make sure because you should not be wasting all your time on this when you could be working on actual cheering. That is way more important than doing the splits. Yes, it does improve your toetouch, but you don't have to do a full toetouch. I am a cheerleader and I got one of the highest scores at tryouts and I have horrible splits. What you need to do though is strech out at least twice a day. Sit on the floor with your legs out and touch your toe one side at a time. Strech to the middle then to the other side. Stand up and put your legs together and try to touch your toes. Do these for at least 30 sec. This is because your muscles think that they are getting hurt so they tighten, it takes them at least 30 seconds to realize they are not and loosen up. Then actually do the splits for at least 30 seconds agian on the left, right, and straddles. Gravity is your best friend in doing the splits. Find a really big wall with nothing on it. Then lay on your back with your legs up on the wall and your butt touching it. Let your legs go out into your splits. Then sit there and read or do homework or something. This will hurt but you should sit there for a really long time. This helps a ton. Really it just takes time and commitment. You may have really tight ham strings like me and can't do it. I used to be able to, but I lost it. It is ok if you can't. The splits isn't what makes a good cheerleader.
If you ever have any cheer questions please ask me!!
Good luck and hope I helped!!Answer 7
start off going down as far as you can go. get a timer so you can hold it for 2 minutes every day. it will hurt but every 15 seconds relax and let yourself go down just a little bit further and hold it. it will take some time to get them all the way down but if you work on them every day for 2 minutes you will get them all the way down! :]]
