It is very easy to write about love, peace & happiness and we enjoyed reading it too. This is normal because as a human being we always look in the positive and beautiful side of our life. Admit it or not thatís reality. How about ďhatredĒ? Does anybody be interested of reading something about hate?
In psychology, Dr. Sigmund Freud defined hate as an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness. More recently, the Penguin Dictionary of Psychology defines hate as a "deep, enduring, intense emotion expressing animosity, anger, and hostility towards a person, group, or object." Because hatred is believed to be long-lasting, many psychologists consider it to be more of an attitude or disposition than a (temporary) emotional state.

But we are not trying to define the meaning of hatred instead we will prove that hate is just a feeling that can be released by strong faith in God and if you just open your mind. In doing so, let me tell you a story of a man who supposed to felt hate and yet have chosen forgiveness. Here is the story:
At the age of four, his father was shot in front of him without knowing what the reason is. He lost his father so early that now he could barely remember his face or at least the good memories that they shared together. What remained in his mind is the scenario that his father was falling towards him and that was it. Because of this, he always felt emptiness in his heart and shed tears every time he remembers his father.
His mother on that time was so young and didnít knew what to do which forced her to let her relatives took care of her children and thatís the saddest part because they did the other way. Some people criticized what she has done but they misjudged her. They didnít even blinked and realized how hard for a mother to live without her children. She surrendered her happiness for the best of her children. Sacrifice so great but instead of praise she received condemnation. His elder sister almost died because nobody cared. They suffered unthinkable physical and worst emotional abuse.
Your relatives supposed to help you not to treat you like slaves. His sufferings are sufficient enough to develop hatred in the utmost level.
After few years, the children were given a chance to live with their mother again but things were not so well for them. Life was so difficult that they could not even have a decent meal 3 times a day. Actually, they considered it lucky to eat 3 times a day with a good meal. They needed support but it seemed nobody was there. His mother suffered too much even just to give her children fares to go to school for a week was difficult for her. Yeah, it was so difficult for her, no doubt, but again they declined to understand her. In that time, he was always asking, where are our relatives? But this man refused to feel hate and to give up even the road that he was trudging is all uphill. Lucky though with the guidance of God Almighty, he still graduated top of his class.
That is not the end of the story but let us stop here so that you will not feel hate (which I donít want you to feel) while reading this article. Just take note of these questions and learn something:
Q. Did he felt hatred to the person who killed his father?
A. No. He even talked to the killer and never felt hate. Because he believed, that only God has the right to punish us and he was right.
Q. Did he felt hatred to his relatives who instead of helping they criticized his mother?
A. No. Few of his relatives helped him even though not that much but still it was help and until now, he appreciated it. Mostly neglected his family but he has forgiven them all.
17Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt.
18Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
35It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.
These bible verses opened his mind and made him stronger than ever. Now, he is supporting his cousin to finish her college degree even without meeting her personally. He is setting an example that helping does not need anything in return or any condition and he will continue doing that until the last breathe that he will take. You are here in this world not only for yourself but also for those who needed help. If you received blessings, share it with somebody especially to your relatives without asking why.
So, if this man learned to forgive. Why canít we?
Close your eyes, take a deep breath and say, ďI forgive youĒ.
