Ahh, didn't see the 9!
5x+5y=-5
6x-5y=-39
--------------
11x = -45
x = -45/11
5(-45/11) + 5y = -5
y = 34/11
---------------------------------
6x - 5y = -39
6(-45/11) - 5( 34/11) = -40
----------- wait wait!
6x-5y=-39
5x+5y=-5
-------------
11x + 0y = -45
x = -45/11
6(-45/11) - 5y = -39
-270/11 - 5y = -39
-5y = -39 + 270/11 = -159/11
-y = -159/55
y = 159/55
---------------
5x+5y= - 5
5(-45/11) + 5(159/55) = -6
----------------------------------
still doesn't work!
if x = -45/11, then y = {-3/11, 159/55}
ys/2 = y1+y2 = 144/55 /2 = 72/55
x = -8/11, y = -3/11
-------------------------
6x-5y=-3 can be the only equation. Better check to
see it's -39. since -39 dont work.

ANSWER: x = -4, y = 3
The problem cant be solved unless the 1st equation,
5x + 5y = -5, is reduced. The it is x + y = -1
so then find x and sub into the second equation: x = -1 - y
Second equation
6x - 5y = -39
6(-1 - y) - 5y = -39
-6 - 6y - 5y = -39
-11y = -39 + 6
-11y = -33
y = 3
--------------------
x + y = -1
x + 3 = - 1
x = -4
--------------------
DONE!
