I believe there are many people who would continue the fight for freedom and the world would continue to have strife regardles of who was considered the leader of the worlds freedom seeking countries. I also believe people give too much credit to America for it's role as a country that seeks to help others obtain this elusive right. Understand that I love living in America but not everyone who lives here is respectful of others rights to have a decent life and they would have no problem in denying others that basic idea. It's a very touchy subject and will make a lot of people angry just thinking about it.

The world depends on America for so much. Along with keeping the peace in many parts of the world, if our economy collapsed, other economies would collapse. It takes 22 european countries to equal the GDP of the US. We buy and sell a lot of goods that other countries need, for example food. Notice how there are riots now that the food we grow here in the USA is going up in price? Other countries depend on us to feed them, for example the $770 billion in food aid Bush just agreed to.

i don't think amerika actually fights for FREEDOM. take an objective, questioning look at all the foreign wars/conflicts we've been involved it. we gained something from EVERY SINGLE ONE! the u.s. doesn't do anything unless they have something to gain. think for yourself! it's so important!
