Would you be opposed to the following?
a group gets together and decides that they are going to take Jesus teachings and beliefs and put them into practice... and in studying Jesus' teachings and beliefs they find that He believed the Old Testament, so they accept it as the Word of God. They also find that Christ's followers were given authority to communicate and explain His message on earth, so they accept the New Testament texts as the Word of God too.
Then these people (who also don't like the power and authority that religion has had in the past) get together and begin meeting on a regular basis to study the Word of God.
They commit themselves to the teachings and beliefs of Jesus, which they find to include forgiveness of sins through faith in Him. "I am the way, the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me". So, though this is contrary to political correctness, they believe it.
Would you be opposed to the "organizing" of this group, not for the sake of power, but solely for the sake of study, worship, fellowship, and service?
What you have here is an example of the church I fellowship at.
