Maybe, maybe not.
HE has nothing to fear. Diabetes is NOT contagious.
But YOU, being a diabetic, have a LOT to fear. being diabetic means that your wounds heal more slowly than other people, and you can get infected more easily than other people.
And if you get an infection in your navel, that leads directly to the peritoneal cavity and your intestine. an infection of the peritoneum is VERY serious, sometimes fatal. In serious cases the only solution the have is to cut you open, take out all your internal organ, wash them with sterile water, and put them all back. this is a VERY serious and expensive operation!
The problem is that many piercing stations do not keep their tools spotlessly clean and sterilized. AND, the wound after the piercing is a source fo future infection.
Because of this, body piercing and tattoos are NOT recommend for diabetics.Answer 2
No, their not human,Answer 3
They will if you prove your glucose is in good control and your A1c number is in the 5% club range! As long as you are in good control there is no problem.
But my question is WHY?? why do you want a piercing which will be slightly painful?
Personally I don't want anything more to do with needles than I have to deal with on a daily basis already!!
I got my ears pierced in college a long time ago on a dare! I do not want another set of holes in my hide! I for sure don't want the tongue, eyebrow, nose, etc piercings that seem so popular! It is enough to deal with the ear lobes!Answer 4
yes.and tattoo's. just make sure its under control.use the yellow pages and call and ask.Answer 5
I am a diabetic and had my navel done many years ago. They just asked if I had any medical conditions and I told them. I knew I was in good control and would heal up just fine so I got it done. Just keep it clean and take good care of your glucose levels......just like you do on a daily basis I hope.
