Ding Ding Ding
Give the man a CeeGar.
Like I've been preaching about for years, the day of the desktop computer "as we know it" is about to end.
If not Windows 9, then for sure Windows 10 will be entirely cloud based, as will be OSX and multiple distros of Linux.
The "computer" will be a dumb terminal with almost zero local storage and everything will be stored in your cloud drive.
Mobil devices will be tablets or smart phones, and tomorrow's computers won't need any horsepower. More important than processing power will be broadband connectivity, and it wouldn't surprise me to see pricing based on how fast the NIC in the device is rather than how fast the CPU is or how much RAM it has, since 6G networks will be available in every nook and cranny of the earth.
You won't "buy" software, or even movies. Everything will be streamed from the cloud. Need to type a Word document? Make sure your subscription to MS Office Online is paid up to date, open Word, and type away. When you're done, save your document to your cloud drive.
Anyway, you called it exactly right.
