Why does it take a long time for my heat to warm-up the cabin? 1968 buick wildcat. blower makes rattle for a few minutes than goes away. heater-core and blower motor was changed couple Years ago.

Did you see any rust in the coolant when the heater core was changed? If there is rust in the coolant system, it will accumulate in the passages of the radiator and/or the heater core. It may also have a thermostat stuck in the open position not allowing the coolant to heat up properly.

22 year mechanic hope this helps there is no cure has to be replaced cheap fix
