Does bronze rust? I know that it develops a green patina from the process of oxidation because of its copper component, but does it rust since it contains tin? Or is rust only for iron? I guess what I'm asking is does bronze corrode and if it does what is the process called?

I believe that you have answered your own question. Rust is oxidation. Various metals produce various appearances of oxidations. What you appear to be calling “rust” in relation to iron (FE) is iron oxide. Rust is actually the effect of (O2) oxygen on a metal, this is generally true but sometimes another chemical can be used to “oxidize” metal. What we call patina on the Bronze is oxidation of the Copper, it can be in the form of copper sulfate or copper sulfite, depending on the oxidizer.
